Adaklu Senior High School

Adaklu Senior High School has served students in Ghana since 1984, growing from a commitment to disciplined learning into a community known for academic excellence, strong moral values and service. Today, the school continues to prepare young people to lead with purpose while honouring its heritage and embracing the future.

Adaklu Senior High School (ADASEC) was established on 22 October 1984 at Adaklu Waya as a community-based second-cycle day institution. The school was initiated by Togbe Gbogbi IV, Paramount Chief of Adaklu, with support from his chiefs and the people of the traditional area. It began under the leadership of Mr. Justus Kofi Buafo Adzotor, with an initial enrolment of 45 students.

In 1991, the school was absorbed into the public education system and became a government-assisted institution. Since its establishment, ADASEC has grown from its modest beginnings into an established senior high school serving students from Adaklu and beyond. Its development reflects the enduring commitment of the people of Adaklu to providing quality secondary education and creating opportunities for the younger generation.

Today, Adaklu Senior High School continues its pursuit of academic excellence, discipline, diligence and devotion, guided by its motto, “Ad Astra Per Aspera – To the Sky Through Bolts and Bars.”
